Acupuncture is a safe treatment that can complement Western medicine, holistic therapies, and a healthy lifestyle.

It is commonly used to treat musculoskeletal injuries and pain, including back pain, neck pain, knee pain, and headaches. It may reduce pain by releasing pain-relieving endorphins, reducing inflammation, and improving blood flow.

As a holistic treatment that aims to balance the whole body, acupuncture may support general well-being. Patients often report feeling calm and relaxed during and after treatment. Current evidence suggests that acupuncture may help with generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), depression, and other mental health conditions

Acupuncture can support women throughout their lives by promoting well-being and hormonal balance. It may help with fertility, menstrual symptoms, menopause, pregnancy, and gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis.

Bryony Addison is our associate acupuncturist working out of our Westhill clinic
